Training for success

trainingTraining is the key to a safe and fun cycling experience. Being prepared physically is paramount to having a safe bike tour. Join the training series and recommended rides in and around Houston, Bastrop and Austin to practice group cycling and train for the BP MS 150. Fees vary per ride.

CoP/BP Training Series

Team BP will participate in a Training Ride Series in conjunction with ConocoPhillips Cycling Club. Sign-up is November and December of 2009 for the training series starting January 9, 2010 (for beginners) and January 23, 2010 (for experienced cyclists).

Wellness Center Training

Additional training information is available under training plans on the Wellness Center/Team BP internet site. The wellness center staff will be offering training opportunities throughout the months leading up to the BP MS150.

Bike Shop Rides and Training

Local bike shops offer training (rides and spinning classes) during the months preceding the BP MS150. Check this website for information as it becomes available.

BP MS 150 Recommended rides are listed under the safety and training section of the MS Society website. As you check on the recommended rides also take time to review the safety information.
