Sandra Hernandez: Last year was my first BP MS150 and my first year of road bike riding. Training for the ride was a big encouragement to get into the sport, and a great opportunity to meet people. If you ask me what I liked the most about the ride it was the cheering and support from the public all along the route, and the feeling that you're doing it for a good cause.
Personally, I have no friends or family with MS, but the ride also made me learn about this illness and how research can make a difference to the many people who suffer from it.
I have just moved to Alaska on a job assignment, but I’m still planning on doing the ride. Actually, I’ll be joining the one in Alaska also, which is in September. In the end, the main goal is to increase the fund-raising efforts every year; if in the meantime you can also have fun and get more fit, I’m all up for it!
Did you know?
Last year, BP had the largest team with 750 riders and 200 volunteers.Team BP Quotes
