TeamBP’s Priscilla Lon, John Amato and Joy Simpson train for the BP MS150.

Texas City’s John Amato and Joy Simpson, and their preparation for the BP MS150 ride, are featured in The Galveston County Daily News. Amato, 62 years old, says the ride has rejuvenated his life and his health. But what keeps him going year after year is a sign at the finish that reads, “Thank you for riding to save my life because I can’t.”

“It’s pretty amazing when you see those signs,” he says. “It just makes you feel so good. I just didn’t know how much it was helping me, too.”
